about “Ferns”…

Ferns by Sheila Cobb is a family owned florist that captures the essence of what small American business represents. “Ferns” opened its doors in May, 2005 on Centre Street in West Roxbury and immediately started to build a loyal clientele made up mainly of neighbors, other local businesses and friends.

Sadly, in August, 2007, a fire forced the closure of the store on Centre Street. With her business at stake and without many options, “Ferns” owner, Sheila, decided she would take her business online. For the last 17 years, Sheila has built a reputation as one of the best floral designers in the Boston area. She has realized her dream of being a small business owner and she has made it successful because she is 100% hands-on, she treats people with respect, she considers no job too small (or too big) and she loves what she does.

Since its inception, Ferns by Sheila Cobb has been the floral designer for over 500 weddings and her work has been featured in Boston Magazine. Her eye for style and her flare for design make wedding venues the works of art every bride imagines.

In addition to weddings, “Ferns” takes pride in creating beautiful sympathy arrangements. Sheila has built personal and business relationships with many of the funeral home directors in Boston and several of the surrounding towns. She is compassionate and professional and she knows what needs to be done to help families as they face the difficult task of planning a loved one’s final arrangements.

Today, Ferns by Sheila Cobb is still the neighborhood flower shop that it started out as. But its online presence has made it more than that. “Ferns” has established its own style, making Sheila’s work well known and recognizable in Boston and the Greater Boston area.

Dedication, organization, dependability and beautiful floral designs are just a few of the reasons that you will be happy that you chose Ferns by Sheila Cobb for your floral needs.
